Why I Created This Blog

I was thinking one day "I need to keep a journal or blog about the time of year I see various birds, etc. so I'll remember when to look the next year". I decided it would be easier to keep up with on a blog, thus the creation of this one. You are probably wondering about the origin of the name (and if you're not, I'll tell you anyway, LOL). I am a nature lover, an easy going, hippie peace freak type of person:) I love the 70's and am still living in the 70's (same hairstyle, jeans and tie dyed shirts, no makeup, sandals or no shoes). For years my Mom has called me an Earth Mother, so when I created a blog about nature, what better name?? I will be writing about all of the nature that I see on my 12 acres of Heaven, and occasionally I'll include photos, since my passion is photography:)

It's The Country Life For Me

Ahh...life in the country. Can't beat it. Where else can you see Roadrunners, Red Foxes, Coyotes, Snakes, Possums, Raccoons, and hundreds of birds, all on 12 acres that I call my "Little Slice of Heaven". I love Nature and I will never go back to the City Life...I've found my Peace and Serenity here...
